Clint Eastwood signs legal brief in support of same-sex marriage

‘Dirty Harry’ joins a long list of GOP stalwarts backing a challenge to California’s Prop 8 gay marriage ban, which goes before the Supreme Court next month.

Former Mitt Romney supporter Clint Eastwood, who infamously debated an empty chair at the Republican National Convention, has joined the long list of GOP signatures on a legal briefing supporting same-sex marriage.

The amicus or friend-of-the-court brief will be submitted this week to the Supreme Court, which is scheduled next month to take up a challenge to the California gay marriage ban known as Proposition 8, as well as a challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act.
